World Health Organisation DG Tests Positive For COVID-19

The Director-General (DG) of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Tedros Ghebreyesus says he has tested positive for COVID-19.

The WHO DG made the announcement in his twitter handle Sunday evening.

According to him: “I’ve been identified as a contact person of someone who has COVID-19 symptoms, I’m well and with out signs however will self-quarantine over the coming days and self-quarantine from residence.

“It’s critically vital that all of us adjust to health guidance. That is how we’ll break chains of #COVID-19 transmission, suppress the virus, and defend health programs.

“My colleagues and I at WHO will proceed to have interaction with companions in solidarity to save lots of lives and defend the weak.”
