The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has warned President Muhammadu Buhari to deal with the demands of Nigerians, or he’ll put the country “on fire”.
Wike’s remark comes two days after the federal government met with leaders within the South-South region.
On the meeting, the South-South leaders demanded the restructuring of Nigeria, in line with the principle of true federalism.

Wike, talking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Thursday, stated: “We should perceive on this nation that political management may be very key.
“Having the political will to implement what the folks need may be very critical.
“I don’t need to speak in regards to the concern of distrust or no belief in government. People have raised such points, that they don’t assume that something will come out of all this dialogue. I don’t agree with that. I consider that if the president doesn’t do, given the alternatives he has now, then, he will likely be placing Nigeria on fire.”
