Ondo election: APC predicts 55% win for Akeredolu

An assessment group despatched by the All Progressives Congress National Campaign Committee on Ondo State Gubernatorial Election has projected a 55-58 per cent margin of victory in favour of incumbent Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN.

A member of the staff, who can also be the Director-General of the Voice of Nigeria, Mr. Osita Okechukwu, disclosed this at a media briefing in Abuja, on Tuesday.

The staff additionally dismissed fears that the alliance of 11 missionary political events will cease the victory of the incumbent Governor and APC candidate, within the Saturday, October 10, 2020, gubernatorial election.

The VON DG stated, “The APC National Campaign Committee despatched a few of us to Ondo State for on the spot assessment of our possibilities. We spent seven days mingling with folks of all courses and cadre. To be frank, with out being conceited, Aketi’s chances of winning the election hover between 55-58 %.

“Take this to the bank and please allow me to call some projects to be executed and the ongoing ones.

“Infrastructure-wise, he has carried out creditably effectively in Akure, constructing roads, colleges, and hospitals amongst others. In street building, he has accomplished 125 kilometres of roads and work is ongoing on 279 kilometres, to be accomplished in his second tenure.

“The Okitipupa highway, which was in a deplorable state, beneath earlier governments, has been totally rehabilitated by the Rotimi Akeredolu authorities. He dualised the road in Akoko, Ondo South. He constructed roads in Irele.
