The Vanguard for Justice and Fairness in the Peoples Democratic Party has called on the National Working Committee of the party to join hands together towards the victory of the party’s governorship candidate in Ondo State, Eyitayo Jegede, the same way the state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu did with Bola Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
VJF in a statement released on Monday noted that doing anything other than supporting the party’s governorship candidate in the forthcoming election would cause the party and it’s candidate their chance of winning the October 10 election.
The group called on the leadership of the party to desist from any act that would hinder the victory of the party.
In a statement by the VJF President, Malam Abubakar Abagi said the group it is worried over the growing disaffection particularly among the top leadership of the PDP over “anti-party activities” by ranking officials of the party and leaders following the victory of Jegede at the primaries.
