Ikpeazu debunks defection rumours, calls APC stationary vehicle

The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has debunked speculations that he plans to dump the Peoples Democratic Party for the All Progressives Congress.

Ikpeazu stated this during a state broad radio programme, “The Platform,” monitored in Umuahia, on Saturday.

Reacting to a query on the problem, the governor stated, “I don’t see any motive why I ought to leave the PDP for every other political party.

“The music of politics because it performs differs from one State to a different. Right here in Abia, the individuals are comfy with the PDP and I feel the aspirations of Ndi Abia will probably be met and achieved beneath the platform of the PDP.

“No person has been in a position to persuade me that there’s a better party for us right here in Abia than the PDP. I am a strong member of the PDP and a frontrunner within the party. In actual fact, I’m the Deputy Chairman of the PDP Governor’s Forum.

“I’ll quite be a conductor in a moving vehicle than be the driver of a stationary vehicle.”
