President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed that his authorities will defend all non-secular and ethnic groups, whether majority or minority, in line with its responsibility under the constitution.
He warned that the federal government won’t enable any ethnic or non secular group to stoke up hatred and violence in opposition to different teams.
That is based on a late Sunday evening statement by Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President (Media & Publicity).

It mentioned it was in response to stories of a breakout of violence in some parts of the nation by some ethnic and sectional groups.
The President condemned such violence and gave the reassurance that his authorities will act decisively to cease the unfold of any such violence.
He appealed to non secular and traditional leaders as well governors and different elected leaders throughout the nation to hitch arms with the Federal Authorities to make sure that communities of their area are usually not splintered along ethnic and different primordial lines.
