The Edo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has attributed the error in Governor Godwin Obaseki’s certificate to a photocopier which omitted some information.
The party acknowledged this in a reply to the petition by Action Democratic Party (ADP) filed on the Edo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, challenging Obaseki’s election on ground of non-qualification and electoral malpractices.
Recall that it was on the premise of the error within the disputed certificates that the APC disqualified Obaseki from in search of a second term on its platform within the September 19, 2020 governorship election.
