#EndSARS: Wike bans protests in River State.

River state Governor, Nyesom Wike has banned all types of protests in Rivers State.

The governor particularly mentioned all proposed protests by ‘End SARS’ campaigners have been prohibited.

Wike’s directive was contained in a press release on Monday evening by his Commissioner for Information and Communications, Paulinus Nsirim.

He defined that there was no want for any type of demonstration for the reason that Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, had disbanded the Special Anti-Theft Squad of the Nigeria Police Force.

Mother and father and guardians are subsequently suggested to make sure that their children or wards don’t violate this order.

“Law enforcement agencies are additionally directed to make sure that the ban is enforced and that violators are dropped at guide.”

For over per week now, youths throughout the nation have taken to the streets to kick towards the brutality and extrajudicial killings by the operatives of the now-disbanded police unit.

Though SARS has been dissolved, the protesters are demanding, amongst different issues, a complete overhaul of the police drive and the discharge of all arrested protesters.
