Edo election: Tension in Edo state as Governor Wike’s hotel surrounded by police

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has been detained by more than 300 policemen, The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) claimed Governor Wike was surrounded so that he will not be able to monitor today’s governorship election.

In his twitter handle on Friday, Akawor Desmond posted that the Chairman of the PDP National Campaign Council for the Edo State Governorship election, Wike was surrounded by policemen without any offense.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) supporters said, “this plot is to intimidate us”.
