The Lagos State commissioner Abayomi, has said the state government spends a normal of N1 million day by day on every patient with extreme coronavirus.
While reacting to an inquiry on the expense of overseeing COVID-19 patients in the express, the magistrate said it relies upon the state of the patients.
He said the state spends a normal of N100,000 day by day on patients with mellow or moderate diseases, while those with serious cases require a normal of N1 million day by day because of their basic needs.
“To get mellow moderate case patients in our Segregation place is some place in the area of N100, 000 every day. This gives you a thought on the measure of cash the Government is spending on COVID-19 segregation offices and COVID-19 consideration in the state.
“On the off chance that you require high consideration or concentrated consideration, that sum can go up from anything from N500, 000 to even a million naira for every day,” the Chief said.
Mr Abayomi said factors that decide the expense of care for every patient incorporate whether the patient needs ventilation, oxygen, dialysis, intravenous anti-infection agents and others.
“Each case is extraordinary, so it is exceptionally hard to figure precisely how much a patient in high consideration or serious consideration would cost.”
Mr Abayomi included that the expense of care of patients incorporate offices, foundation, HR and “different parts of COVID-19 consideration and the board”
