The USA Government has condemned the shooting and killing of anti-police brutality protesters in Lagos.
The Nigerian Military had on Tuesday opened fire on peaceful protesters, killing at the least 12 individuals in accordance with Amnesty International.

In an announcement on Thursday, the US stated, “The USA strongly condemns using extreme power by army forces who fired on unarmed demonstrators in Lagos, causing death and damage.
“We welcome a direct investigation into any use of extreme power by members of the safety forces.
“These concerned needs to be held to account in accordance with Nigerian regulation.
“The appropriate to peaceable meeting and freedom of expression are important human rights and core democratic ideas.
“We call on the security providers to point out most restraint and respect fundamental rights and for demonstrators to stay peaceable. We extend our condolences to the victims of the violence and their families.”
