The former vice president and the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has received former Governor of Kano State, Sen. Ibrahim Shekarau to the opposition party.
This came about on the Mundubawa house of Shekarau in Kano State on Monday.
POLITICS 360 reports that Atiku along his running mate, Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, PDP national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu and chieftains of the party, had launched into a three-day visit to Kano in anticipation of Shekarau’s come back to the PDP towards of 2023 elections.

The PDP chieftains arrived in Kano on Sunday and are anticipated to lure more notable politicians to PDP in other to gain more ground in the state.
POLITICS 360 reports that Shekarau formally announced his defection to PDP from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
