Ondo Deputy Governor Agboola Ajayi has raised an alarm over moves by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to impeach him as deputy governor of Ondo state.
Ajayi left the decision All Progressives Congress (APC) and abandoned to the People democratic party (PDP) where he would like to challenge the governorship election.
Ajayi who demanded no leaving his position said governor Akeredolu intended to impeach him through illicit and illegal methods.
He said the ‘unlawful’ removal would be brought out through would be carried out through financial inducement of members of Ondo Assembly to the tune of N10m each.
Talking through his Chief Press Secretary, Babatope Okeowo, Ajayi affirmed the Assembly complex has been besieged by men of the Nigeria Police while lawmakers that do not comply were prevented from entering the complex.
As per the announcement: “We wish to express that the deputy governor is atested politician of note, who isn’t caught off guard for this kind of kangaroo and scandalous move from the frantic and suffocating governor of of Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu and his gathering.
