Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), stated that if elected, his priorities would be the safety and prosperity of the country.
Nigerians will be made prosperous through agriculture, said the former governor of Lagos State.
At an event organized by the Arewa community at the Mobolaji Johnson stadium in Lagos State on Sunday, Tinubu made this statement.
Security policies are based on extensive study and long conversations with experts in this field, stating that while he was Lagos’ governor, the policy was used to address the bad security situation. According to him, I will solve the nation’s problems with a commitment to do so.
“I will give priority to tackling security, making the economy prosperous for all, and paying special attention to agriculture as President Muhammadu Buhari does now.”
Security policy is not an artificial one created for the purpose of sounding good for this campaign. It is based on dedicated study and long discussions with industry experts.
During my tenure as Lagos governor, I created programmes and institutions to address the real and dangerous challenges Lagos faced.
Furthermore, Tinubu pledged to honor all his promises regardless of ethnicity or religious differences in order to ensure peace and harmony among Nigerians.
In his words, “I will honor my pledges that we will live in harmony. We belong in each other’s hearts.”.
I have always been nationalistic and detribalized in my approach to politics. I have friends and associates throughout the country, regardless of ethnicity, region, or religion.
In my capacity as governor of Lagos state, I formed a cabinet of competent Nigerians from all parts of the country.
It didn’t matter to me if you were Yoruba or Igbo or Arewa, what was important was your competence and the value you would bring to government and society.I have offered myself for the presidency in order to replicate this feat for the country.”
