2023: PDP speaks on zoning of presidential ticket, APC’s debate

PDP alerts European Union on alleged plot to compromise 2023 polls

The Peoples Democratic Party on Wednesday stated that the party would take a choice on the problem of zoning of the presidential election at the fullness of time.

PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan spoke while appearing on Arise Tv.

Ologbondiyan mentioned the continuing dialogue on the zoning of the 2023 presidential ticket within the All Progressives Congress, APC, is a sign of President Muhammadu Buhari’s failure.

He insisted that some APC chieftains who labored towards Buhari’s emergence are afraid that the party’s agreement won’t be reached.

In accordance with Ologbondiyan: “There are conversations within the APC over where to choose their next candidate from, I’m aware. However we should also not lose understanding of this conversation.

“It’s as a result of those who labored to bring President Buhari to power and having seen the failures that are attached to the governance of President Muhammadu Buhari and all of the failed promises that were made and can’t be actualised are already afraid that maybe the same thing will occur to their agreement.

“For us within the Peoples Democratic Party, we’ve our party organs that will take decisions based on the conversations that will come up within our own political party.

“When the time comes, at the fullness of that time our party will take its zoning decision, however as we speak, permit the APC to be fighting in the market place over whether or not they had an agreement. The PDP will not permit itself to be dragged into their very own infighting.”
