2023 Elections: Labour Party Confirms Peter Obi As Member

The opposition Labour Party has confirmed the former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi has joined the party.

POLITICS360 learn that this development comes two days after Obi resigned from the from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a tweet through his Twitter handle on Friday, the party stated the presidential aspirant registered as a member and formally joined its fold on Friday in his ward in Anambra State.

The party disclosed that Obi is anticipated to pick out the presidential form and contest the party’s presidential presidential primary election fixed for next week Tuesday in Abuja.

The tweet reads: “As earlier reported, H.E Peter Obi Joins Labour Party of Nigeria, @PeterObi registered as a member of the party on Friday in his ward in Anambra State.

“He is expected to pick the presidential form and contest the party’s presidential primary election next Tuesday.
